We are looking for a Curatorial Programming Intern that will work alongside our team during the upcoming period between February and April!
The responsibilities held by the intern typically include assisting with research for exhibitions, archiving, writing, and supporting the planning, installation and deinstallation of exhibitions. This role allows the intern to develop key skills in art historical research, curation, project management, and public engagement. The intern will engage with community outreach and contribute to educational programs through different projects. The intern will be exposed to the variety of projects within Dirwaza’s reach at the current time of the internship, and not dedicated to a single project.
This program is open to current university students from their junior year or recent graduates that want to explore working in a curatorial setting and learn more about exhibition making and public programming. Additionally, the internship provides networking opportunities with professionals in the field, offering insights into curatorial practices and potential career paths within the arts and culture field.
Duration: 3 Months
Eligibility: University students and recent graduates
Language: Arabic and English (Arabic is preferred but not required)
Location: Abu Dhabi based or able to commute
Area of speciality: Curatorial work, research, archiving, writing, programming events.
Background: Art background is preferred.
Minimum hours: 20 hr/week
Maximum hours: 30 hr/week
